On the morning of March 27, 2026, the An Giang Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center organized a strategic workshop titled "Developing Tour Routes and Tourism Products for An Giang Province in 2026".
The event gathered over 100 delegates, including provincial leaders, experts, and travel businesses from across the region. This seminar serves as a vital stepping stone for the "New An Giang" (a merger of the former An Giang and Kien Giang provinces) to redefine its path and establish high-quality, competitive destinations on the regional tourism map

In her opening remarks, Ms. Quang Xuan Lua – Director of the Center, highly appraised the local "golden" resources following the merger, ranging from island resorts to unique spiritual and ecological landmarks.
However, she frankly addressed existing limitations: unsynchronized tour routes and a lack of regional connectivity. She emphasized that the workshop is a platform for proposing breakthrough solutions to effectively exploit potential and foster synergy between state management and the business community

Rather than merely exploiting raw resources, delegates proposed that An Giang should focus on "packaging products" into unique, distinctive, and sustainable experiences.
Leveraging Digital Transformation, developing smart tourism products, and enhancing professional human resources are identified as key drivers for the New An Giang to secure a firm standing on the international tourism stage.
