LNCCI Partners With Plan International To Host Sustainable Business Management Training, Elevating Lasting Laos Standards
Vientiane Capital – From March 24-25, 2026, the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and Plan International, organized a training course under the "Lasting Laos" project.
The "Lasting Laos" project

Supported by the European Union, Plan International Germany, and the TUI Care Foundation, the training was themed "Responsible and Sustainable Business Management." The event took place at Lab de Lines, Donnokkhoum Village, Sisattanak District, Vientiane Capital. It was honorably co-chaired by Dr. Malaikham Philaphone, Deputy Director General of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (under the MOIC), and Ms. Suphaphone Khamsennam, Acting Secretary General of LNCCI.
The primary objective of this training was to enhance the skills and knowledge of entrepreneurs, enabling them to integrate sustainability principles into their practical business operations. A key goal was to assist businesses in meeting the criteria and standards for the "Lasting Laos Certified" designation. This certification emphasizes responsible environmental, economic, and social management to boost competitiveness and attract tourists in the long term.
This training represents a crucial step in encouraging Lao entrepreneurs to adopt more eco-friendly and socially responsible business practices. Such transitions will ultimately build customer trust and sustainably strengthen the national economy. At the conclusion of the program, successful participants were awarded certificates. These certificates acknowledge their readiness to advance their business development and prepare for the subsequent steps of implementing sustainability criteria, leading to final assessment and certification by the project.
