In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong emphasized the dynamic and growing trade relationship between An Giang and Cambodian provinces.
As of September 2025, bilateral trade between the two sides reached USD 940 million, with a complementary structure of goods such as agricultural materials, raw produce, seafood, rice, consumer goods, and fertilizers.
He reaffirmed An Giang’s commitment to working closely with the MOIT to create favorable conditions for businesses to invest and develop sustainably in the province.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu highlighted that the conference served as a vital platform for both countries to explore potential, share experiences, and discuss concrete measures to boost trade, investment, and logistics cooperation—especially between Vietnam’s Southern Economic Region and the Cambodian market.
Towards a Joint Action Plan 2025–2027

Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong also visited exhibition booths showcasing OCOP products and regional specialties from An Giang and other southern provinces.
Building on the discussions, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce will jointly develop a 2025–2027 Action Plan for trade and investment promotion.
The plan focuses on facilitating market access, improving import–export capacity, and advancing e-commerce and logistics cooperation between the two nations.
